"The purpose of the Teacup Dogs Agility Association is to provide a
competitive venue for dogs of small stature without regard to breed or
pedigree."
TDAA
courses are tighter with less spacing between
obstacles. Courses are designed to
encourage challenges that are comparable to the
course challenges which face large dog handlers
in other popular venues. All the obstacles are
scaled down in a size to be more appropriate to
the little guys. Jump heights will be set in a
range from 4” to 16” and the jump bars are
shorter. The tunnels and chutes are smaller to
more proportionally conform to the dogs of
smaller stature. The weave poles spacing is
less, and the contact equipment (A-frame, dog
walk, teeter), is smaller in height and length.
When TDAA gets queries about the TDAA events,
people are always asking about the equipment and
what it looks like. Here are pictures of some
typical TDAA equipment, compared to the “big”
dog full size apparatus.
The detailed specification for TDAA equipment
can be found on the TDAA Rules page of the TDAA
website.
